Text description provided by the architects. The design offers variety of spatial experiences as the result of the split-level organization. The linear functional-spatial organization is stacked in two masses, joined by the staircase core in between. The rooms are arranged accordingly based on the level of privacy. Public activities and services are located in the beginning of the line; bedrooms are placed at the end on top levels.
The ‘depth’ of the spatial organization, however, does not result the space become visually limited and deep in terms of massing. On the contrary, the communal spaces can be seen-through to the outdoor and visually linking the three open spaces (the front yard and the public garden in front of the house, the inner courtyard, and the backyard).
